Several teams around the National Hockey League are on the lookout for either a number one goaltender or someone who can play in a 1A/1B tandem this season.

One of the names that continues to garner interest from teams is Montreal Canadiens netminder Jake Allen.

According to Jimmy Murphy of Montreal Hockey Now, the Arizona Coyotes and Dallas Stars are two of the teams that have inquired regarding the availability of Allen.

Given the uncertainty of Carey Price going into the 2022-23 season, Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes has been pretty reluctant to move Allen unless the status update on Price is a positive one.

Allen, 32, is entering the final year of his contract that comes with a cap hit of $2.875 million. The Fredericton native appeared in 35 games last season where he had a record of 9-20-4 with a 3.30 GAA, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts.
