Per team insider Charlie Roumeliotis, the Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Michal Teply to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Teply, 18, just finished up his first season in North America playing for the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL. The young Czech forward adjusted well, managing to put up 29 goals and 63 points in 53 games. Due to the fact that he is still just 18 years old, he will likely spend one more season in junior hockey. Despite that, this is a player Blackhawks fans should feel pretty excited about, as the six-foot-three forward adds both size and skill to the team.

The Blackhawks selected Teply in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. During his draft season, he played in the top professional league in the Czech Republic, putting up two assists in 15 games. He also participated in the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, posting five assists in five games.
