A message of support from Mitch Marner

Since he was selected fourth overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Ontario native Mitch Marner has become a crucial part of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.

Since his NHL debut in the 2016-17 season, the young forward netted 60+ points through each of his seasons, and his chemistry with the team, along with his top tier level of play, landed him a home in Toronto, where he recently signed a six-year, $65.358 million contract.

As the NHL's season hangs in the balance, amidst suspension due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, Marner sat down and penned out a beautifully worded message to hockey fans across the world. A message of hope and solidarity;

Dear hockey fans,

I miss hockey, and I miss all of you too. It's hard to be inside and not to be able to do the things we love. It's really hard knowing some of you are scared and worried about what's happening around the world right now.

You're not alone. I get scared too.

What helps me is knowing that my friends, teammates and family are feeling the same way. We are doing what we can to help each other.

Marner, through his letter, is letting others know that kids don't have to feel alone, as they are restricted to the confines of their home as most of the world remains under some level of self-isolation/quarantine due to the virus' outbreak.
