Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien did an appearance during a conference call with reporters Tuesday and gave a bit of an update on two injured players. Julien stated that should the 2019-20 season resume sometime this summer, both Tomas Tatar and Victor Mete will be ready to play.

Mete had been out with a broken a foot since February 17th, while Tatar had suffered an upper body injury on March 2nd.

Tatar had already set a career high in points this season with 61 despite only playing 68 games. His 39 assists were also a new high for the 29-year-old forward. Mete's four goals were a career high for him and this season marked his first with at least one goal. The defenceman had played 41 games in 2017-18 and another 71 in 2018-19 without putting a puck in the net.

While it is good news that both these players would be ready to get back on the ice if hockey returns this season, there's no guarantee the Canadiens would be involved. When play was suspended, the Habs were 10 points outside of a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
