As New York continues to suffer heavily at the hands of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the medical field is working tirelessly, doing everything in their power to help the people of their city.

With the virus spreading rapidly, hospitals and medical facilities across the state of New York have felt the impact, as have those suffering from the virus, with medical supplies limiting the ability to effectively treat the virus and protect medical workers.

As the pandemic continues, people are doing all they can, including donations, to help the city they call home.

One of the city's newest residents, New York Rangers star forward Artemi Panarin, is doing his part as well.

On Thursday, Panarin, who joined the Rangers organization prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, took it upon himself to donate and deliver a much needed batch of 1,500 N95 masks to the Hospital of Special Surgery in New York City.

While he hasn't quite been with the Rangers for a full season, it's clear the 28 year-old has found a home in New York, and it seems they're more than happy to have him as well.

In addition to his stellar play, in which he led the Rangers in points through the 69 games played prior to the season's suspension, Panarin has embraced his new community, solidifying his spot in the Rangers lineup, and their fanbase's hearts.

At this time, New York is currently under a state of lockdown, with all non-essential businesses closed until further notice, as ordered by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
