According to Scott Powers of The Athletic, the Chicago Blackhawks have signed free agent forward Max Domi. TSN's Pierre LeBrun is reporting that the contract is for one-year and worth $3 million.

Domi, 27, split the 2021-22 season between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Carolina Hurricanes. In 72 games this season, Domi had 39 points (eleven goals, 28 assists), 55 penalty minutes and was a plus-ten.

This is a bit of a surprising move as many expected Domi to sign with a playoff contending team. Along with Domi, the Blackhawks have also signed forward Andreas Athanasiou to a one-year contract worth $3 million.
