As professional sports leagues across the world continue to suspend or cancel their seasons, the passing days filled with new updates regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) give little hope for the return of many suspended seasons.

As of Tuesday, March 17th, the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) has officially announced the cancellation of its remaining regular season games due to the pandemic.

The final regular season standings have been decided, based on points and point percentage of teams who have not played the same amount of games.

The end of the season standings find the Sherbrooke Phoenix in first place, with 106 points through 63 games played.

A plan for a return to the action for next season has not yet been confirmed by the QMJHL at this time, and it's assumed that the situation will be monitored as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change.
