At the time of this writing, there had been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among anyone playing in the NHL. According to some, there have been tests, including a rumour that Aaron Ness of the Arizona Coyotes had been tested after not feeling well for quite some time. His agent is now addressing that.

According to Neil Sheehy: "There is a lot of false info about Aaron, I am waiting for the facts.”

That was all he was willing to say at this time. Ness was sent to the AHL on Wednesday, having to clear waivers in order to do so. His last game for the Coyotes was on February 25th.

There have been several bouts of illness among teammates in the NHL this season, which is not uncommon in any NHL season. Players share close quarters in dressing rooms and share things like water bottles, etc. When a person gets a cold, flu or stomach bug, it tends to make the rounds. Teams will put extra precautions in place until the virus runs its course.

Ness has played 24 games for the Coyotes this season, recording one assists. The 29-year-old defenceman has also played 17 games for Tuscon of the AHL, managing two goals and seven assists.
