It seems all but a forgone conclusion that what remains of the NHL regular season will be cancelled or delayed. The league has advised all teams to cancel practice, morning skates, team meetings, etc., as the world attempts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the league is holding a conference call at 1 pm ET today, and we'll likely hear some kind of announcement after that. Many are speculating the season is in jeopardy, at least for now.

The NBA has already announced the postponement of its regular season and it seems likely to NHL will follow suit. Should it decide to continue, it's highly likely most, if not all remaining games will be played in empty arenas.

USA Hockey has cancelled its upcoming National Championships.

Meanwhile, the NWHL has postponed the 2020 Isobel Cup Final. A new date has not yet been announced.

We'll have the latest on a decision from the NHL as soon as one is made.
