Earlier this season after an impressive start to his career as a Ranger, Sammy Blais is back practicing as a full-participant. Blais suffered a torn ACL in a shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils back in November.

An unfortunate accident, Blais hasn't played since & according to Rangers' Head Coach Gerard Gallant, he is still a long shot to play in this series. However, the fact that he is practicing in a regular sweater indicates he's close.

Acquired last summer in exchange for F Pavel Buchnevich, Blais' start to this time with the Rangers began with a bang:

Anytime a Ranger can score a goal like that on hated Hudson River Rival New Jersey Devils, they instantly become adored by NYR fans. Blais would be a huge addition to the Rangers in their plight to slay the dragon that is the Tampa Bay Lightning & secure a Stanley Cup. Blais won a cup with St. Louis in 2019.
