Cammi Granato is stepping away from her assistant general manager job with the Vancouver Canucks for a new front office role.
General manager Ryan Johnson announced Friday that Granato will now serve as senior amateur adviser after five seasons as AGM.
"After taking some time to reflect on things, I feel this is the perfect time to transition into a new role with the Canucks," Granato said in a statement.
She added she's "extremely passionate" about the amateur side and still has "great confidence" in the front office group leading the rebuild.
Jim Rutherford hired Granato back in February 2022, not long after she became the NHL's first female scout with the Seattle Kraken.
Granato is a Hockey Hall of Famer who captained the US women's team to gold at the 1998 Nagano Olympics, beating Canada in the final.
Rutherford himself stepped down as president of hockey operations back in May, part of a front office shakeup that's completely remade Vancouver.

Johnson now runs the hockey department alongside Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who came in as co-presidents of hockey operations this offseason.
Vancouver hired Manny Malhotra as head coach in June too, completing a total reset after finishing dead last in the league standings.
The Canucks closed last season 25-49-8 for 58 points, a minus-100 goal differential that ranked 32nd overall in the NHL.
Moving a trusted evaluator to the amateur side isn't a demotion, it's more like reassigning your best scout to find the next core piece instead of managing today's mess.
Vancouver clearly believes the two jobs need different people right now.
Granato stays in the building, just further from the day to day grind.
Whether that's addition by subtraction or a signal about where Johnson wants full control remains the real story here.
