A very odd story had surfaced recently about Ottawa Senators forward Tyler Ennis, where last season, the speedy forward went in for an x-ray while he was a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. The results revealed that Ennis had suffered a severe leg injury, which could have put his career in jeopardy.
The oddity in this situation was not in the prognosis itself, but rather, the fact that there was another Tyler Ennis who had also undergone an x-ray around the same time, in the same hospital, resulting in an unfortunate x-ray results swap. The other Tyler Ennis was a member of the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League.
As a result of the mixup, the two Tyler Ennis' - Ennis's.. Ennises.. Enni.. 🤷♂️ - The two Tylers wound up following each other on social media and discussing the ordeal.
Though they have never officially met, Ennis (NHL) decided to do something fun with the situation, sending his NBA counterpart an autographed Ottawa Senators Tyler Ennis jersey, with a personalized message on the back. The message read:

I have been following your career closely & looking forward to meeting you one day!

I swear. You just can't make this stuff up. No word yet on whether Ennis (NBA) plans to return the favor. I would imagine that he does.
