Pierre McGuire Fired by Senators After Only 9 Months on the Job

Well, if there was any question if Pierre would lead the Senators' to newfound glory, let those questions be put to rest. According to TSN's Steve Lloyd, McGuire was fired by the organization today:

Hired by the Senators under the late Eugene Melnyk in July 2021, Pierre didn't last ten months inside Ottawa's front office. Under his watch, the Senators haven't been great & there is much doubt over whether or not the team's draft picks in that time will pan out the way they expected.

Take Tyler Boucher:

The Senators picked Boucher tenth overall under McGuire's tenure, and at this point he projects a 25% chance to *make the NHL* which is not good by any metric.

Unclear what his next move is, will we see Pierre back in the broadcast booth?
