After winning two games in a row to take a 2-1 series lead in their first round matchup against the LA Kings, the Edmonton Oilers came up against a wall in Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick Sunday night. Quick stopped all 31 shots that he faced to lead his team to a 4-0 win to tie the series at two. Quick seemed unbeatable, and continued to make saves at one point even after losing his glove.
Late in the second period with Edmonton pushing, Quick dropped his trapper during a sequence, but was able to turn away three attempts while playing with his bare hand. One of the shots would come dangerously close to his gloveless hand, but ended up going off his shoulder and off the crossbar to stay out of the net.
The full sequence goes by very fast, but Quick stayed composed and managed to keep the Oilers at bay. Game five takes place Tuesday night in Edmonton.
