Ah, the beautiful game. Ivan Fedotov, a 25-year-old draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers who has spent his entire career in the KHL, is facing some criticism in his home country of Russia after what media members are calling an "obscene gesture" following game two of the Gagarin Cup final. Fedotov, who plays for CSKA, was leaving the ice following a loss to Metallurg. Apparently someone said something he didn't like. He turned around and said something back, and then made what we'll call a self-pleasuring gesture towards them.
Oddly, Russian media is reporting that Fedotov won't be punished for his actions. This seems strange given that the NHL just fined Ryan Hartman over $4000 for giving Evander Kane the middle finger during a game.
