First two Stanley Cup Playoff spots could be clinched today

The 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to being in just under a month and on Sunday, the first two teams could clinch their spot.

Florida will clinch a playoff spot if one of the following three scenarios occur:

- If they defeat Buffalo in any fashion.

- If they get one point vs. Buffalo AND New Jersey defeats the New York Islanders in any fashion.

- If New Jersey defeats the Islanders in regulation.

The Colorado Avalanche can also clinch a playoff berth on Sunday, even though they aren't in action. They'll qualify if the Vancouver Canucks defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in any fashion.
