Boston Pride Back-to-Back Isobel Cup Champions - PHF

The Boston Pride set a monumental record last night as they are the first team in Premiere Hockey Federation history to win back-to-back Isobel Cup championships. Unlike last year's championship match versus the Minnesota Whitecaps (4-3), this year's title defense was quite the upset.

The Pride matched up against the Connecticut Whale, who were heavy favorites following a dominant regular season. 15-3-2 with a +30 goal differential, the Whale would lead 2-1 to start the 3rd period. However, the ladies in yellow would quickly turn the tide thanks to Evalina Russelli & Taylor Wenczkowski, who scored 18-seconds apart to take the lead. Boston would never look back, and they would ultimately win the match 4-2. Watch here:
