Blues issue injury update on defenceman Torey Krug

The St. Louis Blues announced on Thursday that defenceman Torey Krug is out week-to-week with an upper-body injury that he sustained on Tuesday night.

In that game against Washington, Krug was injured during the second period. He went right to the locker room and did not return.

In 57 games this season, the Livonia (Michigan) native has 35 points (8 goals, 27 assists), 46 penalty minutes, and is a +24.

This is a big blow to the Blues' defensive core. They currently sit second in the Central division with a record of 35-18-9 through 62 games. Next up for the Blues, a date with the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
