Ryan Dzingel's brief time as a Toronto Maple Leaf is over. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the San Jose Sharks have claimed Dzingel off waivers from Torotno.

Dzingel, 29, was traded to Toronto from Arizona on Saturday night along with defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin for Nick Ritchie and a conditional draft pick.

In twenty-six games this season with the Arizona Coyotes, the Wheaton (Illinois) native put up seven points (four goals, three assists), thirty-five penalty minutes and was a minus-three.

In other waiver related news, Clark Bishop (Ottawa) and Carter Hutton (Arizona) have cleared and have been assigned to their respective American Hockey League clubs.

Today, the Sharks placed forward Lane Pederson on the waiver wire. In twenty-six games with the Sharks, Pederson had two assists, ten penalty minutes and was a minus-fourteen.
