BREAKING: Promising Young Defenseman's Contract Mysteriously Terminated

It was announced today that the San Jose Sharks have terminated to the contract of Leon Gawanke.

Gawanke has been one of the AHL's best defenceman producers for several years and he's only 24 years old. It must be that Gawanke doesn't see a future in San Jose because he's a very promising prospect.

Assuming he goes through waivers successfully it won't be surprising if he earns himself another NHL contract ahead of the trade deadline.
