Artem Anisimov has signed a professional tryout contract with the Detroit Red Wings in an attempt to make a full comeback to the NHL.
He last played in the league during the 2020-21 season for the Ottawa Senators. He only played 19 games that year and as his contract expired no team offered him a new one for the following season.

Anisimov has Stayed Active
The Russian native did not retire from hockey after the 2020-21 season. He played the 2021-22 season for the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in the KHL, scoring 19 points in 27 games. Last season, he played for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL and scored 19 goals and 36 points in 55 games for them. He finished third on the team in goals.
