On Monday, the Chicago Blackhawks announced that Assistant Coach
Marc Crawford will be suspended from all team activities until January 2nd, 2020. This comes after an investigation was opened on Crawford after several players including
Sean Avery,
Brent Sopel, and
Patrick O'Sullivan recently have come out and said Crawford physically abused them while he was their coach. After the suspension was announced, the team released an apology from Crawford.

To many, the fact that Crawford was reprimanded and apologized made it seem like it was now a non issue and we could all move on. Some, however, were not buying Crawford's apology.

O'Sullivan has brought up Crawford's physical abuse in the past, mentioning a story in his book
Breaking Away of him being kicked by his former coach while playing for the L.A. Kings. Asked if he would be willing to accept a true apology from Crawford, O'Sullivan stated he would and added "My phone number hasn't changed in 15 years."
