The Bruins Foundation have partnered with The Thomas E. Smith Foundation and Journey Forward to shed a little light in the lives of those who live with paralysis.

Bob Sweeney, Executive Director of The Bruins Foundation has announced that the trio of Foundations has come together to offer season tickets to Journey Forward which will give people who are working through rehab in Boston the opportunity to attend a Bruins game.

"It's kind of a good way for them to get out and have a night out and enjoy a Bruins game," Sweeney commented before presenting the first two tickets to DJ Bishop last week, for the Devils and Bruins on October 12th for the Bruins' home opener.

He continued on to say; "Journey Forward has done great work with so many people over the years, including Tom. It's been a great partnership with Tom Smith's Foundation. Tom has done a great job in the community, helping individuals who have gone through certain tragedies in their life and Journey Forward obviously provides the vehicle to rehab all of these patients."

The Bruins organization, love them or hate them, you definitely have to respect the work they do within the community, offering opportunities like this one to so many fans who are struggling through illness and injury. It surely adds to the narrative that hockey is, indeed, for everyone.
