James Neal is on a tear so far this season since coming to the Edmonton Oilers from the Calgary Flames. And now, he officially holds a franchise record for the most goals in the first four games of the season in Oilers history.

According to the Oilers, Neal's seven goals in the first four games is the best ever in the history of the franchise. The previous record was six goals in the first four, held by both Wayne Gretzky and Glenn Anderson.

No one can really say for sure whether Neal's current offensive hot streak will last, but he can now say he's entered into some elite territory with a team that has a very rich history.
