There were a few incidents in Thursday night's game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens that caught the attention of officials. This one has earned Calvin de Haan a fine from the Department of Player Safety.
In the third period of the Blackhawks' 3-2 overtime win over the Habs, Cole Caufield was skating behind Chicago's net after taking a shot on goal. de Haan followed him and tripped him with what really looked like a slewfoot. He has been fined a total of $2500 by DoPS. Video of the incident is below.
