Marchand reveals why he picked a specific hat from the dozens thrown on the ice after his hat trick

Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins managed a hat trick against the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night, but the focus was on what he did after getting his third goal. As hats rained down from the stands at TD Garden, Marchand grabbed one of them and passed it to someone behind the bench seemingly to keep for himself. Check it out:

There was plenty of speculation on why he picked this particular hat. Following the game, Marchand was asked about it and gave a pretty simple reason.

"I mean, the hat speaks for itself," Marchand said during a video conference after Boston's 5-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens. "It just has sexy written all over it."
