Since having his contract terminated by the San Jose Sharks this past week, many questioned what lied ahead for Evander Kane, with some believing his time in the NHL might be over.

That doesn't appear to be the case however, as the controversial yet talented winger has reportedly received plenty of interest, and could be signed in the near future. In fact, TSN's Gord Miller tweeted on Monday night that he believes Kane will have a new team by the end of the week.

While there has always been some controversy surrounding Kane throughout his career, he has been a huge distraction in the past year with several negative stories surrounding him. If he were a fringe player, there is no question his career would be long over, but the fact of the matter is he has the talent to be a gamechanger. In 56 games with the Sharks last season, he put up 22 goals and 49 points. He could be a huge add for a team if he is able to stay out of trouble.

Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal says Vancouver isn't interested, but it would matter if they are as Kane wants a Cup contender and should have no problem finding one.
