One thing Jaromir Jagr has never lacked is self-confidence. Many will remember this famous spot from Hockey Night in Canada when players with the Boston Bruins were asked about their favourite players growing up. Fellow Czech David Krejci said his was Jagr. Jagr came next and, of course, named himself as his childhood hockey idol.

Here's another great and more recent moment from the man who is second only to Wayne Gretzky on the NHL's All-Time Points list. If you follow Jagr's Instagram, he's been doing some interviews with children in his home country lately where they ask him whatever questions they want. In this one, Jagr was asked to name the last book he had read. His answer:

"It was a book about Jaromir Jagr and it's called Jaromir Jagr."

A quick Google search shows this book actually exists. It's described on Amazon as "The life story of the Czechoslovakian-born hockey player for the Pittsburgh Penguins who is one of the most talented and promising players in the National Hockey League." It was written in 1997 by Dean Schabner (you can see the listing here). I'm not sure it was the last book he read, but I have no doubt Jagr has read it at some point.

Here's the video in his native tongue.
