After signing a professional tryout with the Bruins on Thursday, fans of the NHL were wondering what the details of his contract might be. A few months ago, Rask appeared on The Greg Hill Show during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radiothon, and the 34-year-old joked about a deal that many guys would jump all over to play in the NHL. Rask quipped that he would be willing to return to the NHL under the league minimum of $750,000 as long as free Bud Lights were part of his new deal.

«Yeah exactly, and free bud lights!» Rask stated when asked by host Greg Hill if he'd take $250,000 to come back and play for the Bruins roughly halfway through the 2021-22 regular season.

Of course, this was back in August when he said this, but the NHL is approximately halfway completed, so maybe the Bruins could be offering him exactly what he joked about. Even though it may be a dream come true, Rask knows that this deal could be inappropriate (albeit extremely funny) for a professional league like the NHL.

"We'll see. I haven't seen the contract yet. I'm guessing it might be frowned upon."

ESPN's Greg Wyshynski states the amount was undisclosed but it would likely be a «significant amount» of Bud Light.

Rask and his humor may be exactly what the Bruins need to make another deep playoff run if he can perform well during his tryout in the AHL.
