NHL announces two more postponements; reworks schedule on three others

The NHL has announced two more postponements as it deals with outbreak of COVID-19 among several teams. The two postponements are:

Columbus @ New York Islanders on January 18th – postponed with a rescheduled date announced at a later time.

Detroit @ Philadelphia on January 18th – postponed with a rescheduled date announced at a later time.

Meanwhile, the league has reworked the schedule for three other games. The New York Islanders @ Philadelphia previously scheduled for November 30 will now take place on January 18th. Also, The Islanders @ Toronto currently scheduled for January 22 is rescheduled for April 17 @ 7:30 p.m. ET, while Toronto @ NY Islanders currently scheduled for April 17 will now take place on January 22nd. This is presumably being done in the hopes that fans will be allowed back at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto by April.

New dates for several other games will be announced over the coming days and weeks, Close to 100 in total were postponed in the weeks leading up to, and directly after Christmas.
