Flyers' Derick Brassard fined after a punch from the bench

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has decided to discipline Derick Brassard for an an incident during Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals. While DoPS did not specify which incident led to fine, simply saying it was unsportsmanlike conduct, it appears it stemmed from this sequence where Brassard punched the Caps' Garnet Hathaway while Brassard was on the bench.

The result is a fine of $2000. Brassard was also given a two minute minor for interference on the play.
