Following a hearing with Montreal's Cedric Paquette, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced that the Canadiens forward will be suspended for two games.

The incident that was under review was from Sunday afternoon's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim forward Trevor Zegras was along the boards in the corner of his own zone just over half-way through the first period when Cedric Paquette delivered a stiff hit from behind, right on the numbers.

Paquette received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. Zegras would leave the game for the remainder of the first period, but returned to start the second.

The Gaspe, Quebec native will be eligible to return to the Canadiens lineup on Saturday, November 6th against the Vegas Golden Knights.
