The Washington Capitals will be without the services of one of their most consistent goalscorers in T.J. Oshie for the foreseeable future after the 34-year-old was injured in a Wednesday meeting with the Detroit Red Wings.
According to the Capitals PR team, Oshie suffered a lower-body injury during the contest and will be sidelined on a week-to-week basis.
Oshie was off to a roaring start with the Caps this season, notching 4 goals and adding 2 assists for 6 points through through team's first 7 games of the season. Oshie has scored at least 20 goals in each of the last 3 seasons.
The Everett, WA native is in the 5th year of an 8-year, $46M deal that he signed with the team back in June of 2017.
