A mock trade sending Tristan Jarry from the Edmonton Oilers to the New York Rangers has drawn 2,762 votes, and most of them say no.
The Mug NHL floated it Monday. The Rangers get Jarry, prospect Beau Akey, a 2030 third and a 2028 seventh.
Edmonton would retain $1,375,000, dropping his cap hit to $4,000,000 for the next two seasons, and take back Matthew Rempe and Spencer Martin.
With voting still open, 46.5% say the Rangers walk away, while 33.9% have the Oilers hanging up.
Only 19.6% think both teams sign off.
Swapping a goalie between two teams that both need one is like two neighbors with leaky roofs trading buckets.
So who actually needs Jarry more?
Mock Trade,
#NYR acquire: Tristan Jarry (Oilers retain $1.375 mil, dropping cap hit to $4 million for next two seasons) Beau Akey, 2030 3rd, 2028 7th
#LetsGoOilers acquire: Matt Rempe, Spencer Martin

Tristan Jarry to the Rangers? Oilers mock trade comes with a costly catch
The Rangers' crease is a mess. Igor Shesterkin is on IR with a knee injury and expected out until at least September 15.
Joonas Korpisalo is also out until at least November 9 with a foot injury.
That's left Dylan Garand carrying the load, with a .899 save percentage over 10 appearances.
Martin, the goalie heading to Edmonton in this mock, has one appearance and an .833 save percentage.
Jarry sits at .862 through 5 games this season.
He made 26 saves on 29 shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to Detroit.
Edmonton should hang up before the poll even closes.
Devon Levi is on IR until at least November 9, and swapping Jarry for Martin doesn't give Stan Bowman a single extra save.
Rempe, 24, has dressed for just 2 games this season.
The Oilers still lead the Pacific at 8-2-2, even after two straight losses.
Mike Sullivan's Rangers have dropped three straight, and they're 1-5-1 on the road.
They've been a different team at home, at 6-1-0.
They still sit second in the Metropolitan with 15 points, and Adam Fox leads them with 17 of his own.
The Oilers visit the Rangers on November 1. If Jarry gets that start, Chris Drury gets a free scouting report from the other end of the rink.
Should the Oilers trade Tristan Jarry to the Rangers with Devon Levi still on IR?
