Ridly Greig caught Owen Tippett up high tonight in Ottawa, and the Senators forward skated away without a penalty.

The clip shows Greig coming through center ice with his arm raised, making contact up around Tippett's head as a second Flyer closes in.

No whistle and no arm in the air. How does that go uncalled?

That's a penalty every day of the week, and it isn't particularly close.

It's like a cop watching someone blow through a red light and deciding it was probably yellow.

Greig came into the night with one assist, having dressed for just one of Ottawa's first three games.

The 24-year-old carries a $3,250,000 cap hit, while Tippett has scored once this season on a $6,200,000 deal.

Flyers fans can't believe Ridly Greig escaped a penalty after this scary hit

Philadelphia walked into this one still searching for its first win. The Flyers are 0-2-2 and have been outscored 17-5.

It started with a 7-0 loss to Pittsburgh on opening night, and the hole hasn't gotten much shallower since.

Monday's 4-1 loss in Tampa didn't slow the slide either.

Daniel Vladar sits at an .863 save percentage. Joseph Woll has been sharper at .929, with both of his losses coming past regulation.

Rick Tocchet's group can't afford to answer this with retaliation penalties. A team scoring this little doesn't have minutes to waste in the box.

Ottawa, meanwhile, is playing its first home game of the season after a 2-1-0 road start.

The Senators are coming off a 5-3 loss in Detroit on Tuesday, their first stumble of the season.

Tim Stutzle leads the Senators with 6 points, and Linus Ullmark has stopped pucks at a .949 clip.

Stutzle has also chipped in a shorthanded goal and a game-winner, so he's not just padding numbers.

Philadelphia heads to Boston for a Saturday matinee, then hosts Carolina on Sunday to finish a back-to-back.

And these two teams meet again Oct 17 in Philadelphia.

Nine days is plenty of time for a grudge to grow. Does anyone in orange let this one go?
