Connor Zary cleared waivers Tuesday, and not one team across the league took a chance on the Calgary Flames forward.

Elliotte Friedman reported that Zary cleared along with Pachal and Robertson on Tuesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old carries a $3,775,000 cap hit, which may have kept some teams away.

He has one assist and a -2 rating through two games.

That's a tough day for him, but it's even tougher for Calgary. Waiving a forward three games into the season says plenty about the mood in that building.

It's listing your car for sale and getting zero calls. Now you still have to drive it to work every morning.

What happens to him now? The report didn't say where he's headed next.

Five players on the move as major waiver wire activity takes place around the NHL

The Flames are 0-3-0 and have been outscored 16-3, scoring exactly one goal in each game.

They lost 6-1 at home to Seattle, 4-1 in Vancouver and 6-1 in Seattle on Sunday, and Arsenal Sports summed it up with Calgary in free fall.

Dustin Wolf is at .797 through two starts on a $7,500,000 cap hit, while Devin Cooley sits at .880 in his only start.

Matthew Coronato and Morgan Frost are both sitting at -6, and Joel Farabee leads the team with just two points.

Kevin Bahl also drew suspension calls online for pushing Aatu Räty into the boards in Vancouver.

In Tampa Bay, Jansen Harkins went on waivers. The 29-year-old forward has dressed once this season, on an $850,000 deal.

Columbus put Pyyhtia on waivers too, per Friedman. The Blue Jackets haven't played since Saturday's 4-1 loss to Utah.

Jon Cooper's Lightning are 2-1-0 after Monday's 4-1 win over Philadelphia, a game that also produced suspension talk around Brandon Hagel's elbow.

Rick Bowness' Blue Jackets are 1-1-0 and host Pittsburgh on Friday.

Calgary hosts Colorado on Thursday and Anaheim on Saturday.

Zary stays in the organization for now. Whether he's back in Calgary's lineup soon depends on how much longer Ryan Huska can stomach this start.
