Frederik Andersen won't be back until at least December, and the Edmonton Oilers' goaltending plan already looks shaky two games into the season.
The Oilers announced the timeline, according to The Hockey Writers, and haven't said what caused the injury.
Andersen, 37, was hurt during last season's Stanley Cup Final with Carolina, per that report.
Until he's back, the Oilers are rolling Devon Levi and Tristan Jarry.
Jarry sits at .739 through two appearances, and Levi posted a .682 in his win at Vancouver.
That tandem would make any coach nervous, and Mike Babcock already took the blame for 13 goals against in two games.
It's buying a new furnace in July and finding out in October it won't be installed until Christmas.

Stan Bowman sent Darnell Nurse to San Jose for Shakir Mukhamadullin this offseason, per The Hockey Writers.
Mukhamadullin is a -6 through two games on a $1,750,000 cap hit.
Nurse, meanwhile, was sent off for a cross-check to Matthew Tkachuk's head in his first game with the Sharks on Thursday.
Ryan Shea, signed this summer, has a goal, an assist and a +2 rating.
Kasperi Kapanen, re-signed, scored a shorthanded goal that held up as the winner in Vancouver, but he's also a -4.
Bowman also added Alex Formenton and Mathieu Joseph up front, with Formenton sitting at +3 so far.
The offense is fine. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard have combined for 19 points.
Can the stars keep outscoring everything? The Oilers have 14 goals to show for it so far.
The Hockey Writers argued this roster looks a lot like the one Anaheim knocked out in the first round last spring.
Zach Hyman remains listed as out until at least October 17.
Seattle visits tonight, and the Oilers head to Anaheim on Wednesday for their next road game.
December is a long way off. If the goaltending doesn't settle well before then, Bowman will be shopping for help long before Andersen gets back.
