Arizona Coyotes unveil ''new'' road jerseys

For jersey fanatics across the hockey world, Monday morning was an exciting one following the official announcement that the Arizona Coyotes were bringing back their white Kachina uniforms starting this coming season.

Arizona is now going with the Kachinas as their full-time uniforms now, after wearing the black version on and off as a throwback and third jersey for the last several seasons. The Kachina coyote logo is also now the team's primary logo that will be featured on all merchandising and advertising going forward.

According to Craig Morgan, the team will be keeping their red "Howling Coyote" uniform for the 2021-22 season, wearing it as a third jersey, eight times throughout the year.

"As part of the Coyotes' rebrand, the club has announced that it will change its primary logo back to the Kachina & reintroduce the white Kachina jersey as the away uniform while the black Kachina will still be the home uniform except for 8 games w/the red Coyotes head jerseys," Morgan said.

One interesting tidbit in the 45-second video the Coyotes posted was that it said "For Public Release" on October 18th, which is the team's home opener. The jersey will make its official debut on October 14th when they face the Blue Jackets in Columbus and then will be worn on the 18th in their home opener.

"As always, we listened to our incredibly loyal and passionate fans, and we were overwhelmed by their love for the Kachina brand and desire to bring the logo and jerseys back on a full-time basis. Embracing the Kachina was an easy decision for us, and we are very proud to have one of the best logos and uniforms in the entire NHL. Our rebrand will highlight that the Coyotes are a dynamic, energetic and a forward-looking organization and this campaign with demonstrate our commitment to be a leader in our community. The Valley and the entire state are a part of Our Pack."
