Philadelphia Flyers sign veteran forward Derrick Brassard

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that they've agreed to terms with veteran forward Derrick Brassard on a one-year contract worth $825,000.

Brassard, 33, has spent parts of fourteen seasons in the NHL with Columbus, the New York Rangers, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Florida, Colorado, the New York Islanders, and most recently, the Arizona Coyotes. In 905 regular season games, Brassard has 503 points (194 G, 309 A), 419 penalty minutes, and -35.

The Flyers have been one of the busiest teams in the off-season to date. They've added Cam Atkinson, Ryan Ellis, Rasmus Ristolainen, Keith Yandle, Nate Thompson, Martin Jones, and now Derrick Brassard.
