As the NHL offseason wears down, there have been plenty of rumors about free agents and trades, but there is a surprising amount of star players that have yet to be traded. Here are five players that should be wearing different sweaters by now.

Jack Eichel

Eichel has not been afraid of expressing his displeasure with the team, and it seemed as if he would be traded at the beginning of the offseason. Now, it's almost September and the star center is still in Buffalo. It seems unlikely for him to be traded unless the Sabres lower their asking price on the forward.

Evander Kane

Kane has had more off-ice problems than any other player this offseason. He definitely has the talent on the ice, but his off-ice problems may be too much to handle for other teams. Many Sharks players don't want Kane back, and it would be surprising to see him in a teal sweater for much longer.

Vladimir Tarasenko

Tarasenko requested a trade from the St. Louis Blues earlier this offseason, and there seemed to be quite a bit of interest around the league. It seems that the asking price may be too much for teams right now, but Tarasenko will likely not be with the Blues for too much longer.

Evgeny Kuznetsov

Kuznetsov and the Capitals' relationship seemed to be a little off as the team was not happy with Kuznetsov's immaturity. It seemed the Capitals were out of patience and it wouldn't be surprising to see him traded sooner rather than later.

Matthew Tkachuk

It was somewhat surprising to see Tkachuk's name pop up in trade rumors, and it likely would have been a false alarm. It was rumored that he wanted to play for the St. Louis Blues, where his father Keith Tkachuk starred. It would be cool to see that happen, and perhaps one day it will.
