Yesterday, Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak was awarded the Golden Hockey Stick by the Czech Ice Hockey Association. The Golden Hockey Stick is given annually to the best Czech player in the world.

2021 marks the fifth year in a row that Pastrnak has received the honour, which has not been done by anyone before. Future Hockey Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr has won the award a total of 12 times, but has never won it five years in a row. Pastrnak is now tied with goaltender Dominik Hasek for second most Golden Hockey Stick's won in a career.

The Havirov, Czech Republic native had yet another strong season for Boston in 2021. He was a point-per-game player tallying 48 points (20 G, 28 A), 24 penalty minutes, and was a +10 in 48 regular season games. Pastrnak added 15 points (7 G, 8 A) in 11 playoff games.

Pastrnak is still only 25, and will more than likely win this award several more times before his career is over.
