The Detroit Red Wings and RFA Jakub Vrana have found middle ground, coming to terms on a multi-year deal to avoid their August 11th salary arbitration date.

Vrana's new deal will be a three-year pact worth $15.75M over the term of the deal, or $5.25M per season.

A report had surfaced on Monday that Vrana had been seeking a $5.7M AAV, while the Red Wings were eying a $3.65M AAV in arbitration. Obviously, Vrana came in pretty close to his ask, and for good reason.

Vrana put up 36 points in 50 games last season, splitting time between the Red Wings and the Capitals, coming to Detroit in the Anthony Mantha deal at the deadline.
