The Nashville Predators announced on Thursday that they've re-signed defenceman Dante Fabbro to a two-year contract worth $4.8 million ($2.4 million AAV).

Fabbro, 23, just completed his second full NHL season with Nashville. He appeared in 40 regular season games, where he set a career high in points with 12 (2 G, 10 A), also adding 23 penalty minutes, and he was a -1. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native missed time from early-April to early-May due to an undisclosed injury.

He'll likely play an important role in the Predators top four in 2021-22 due to Ryan Ellis being traded to Philadelphia earlier this offseason. Fabbro averaged 19:19 time on ice during the 2020-21 season and will see an increase of a few minutes next season.
