Reports are coming in this evening that Calgary Flames forward Nazem Kadri could be available and willing to move via trade this summer.

The Calgary Flames have failed to live up to the lofty expectations placed on them over the last couple of seasons. Regression from players like Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar have thrust the Flames into a rebuild. As a result trade rumors are being built up around some of the Flames biggest stars.

Today a new report from David Pagnotta has revealed that the Calgary Flames have informed teams they would be willing to part ways with forward Nazem Kadri.

He's out there," said insider David Pagnotta recently. "The Flames are willing to explore that possibility." But with Kadri's full no-movement clause, many figured that nothing could come of it

As mentioned by David Pagnotta Nazem Kadri has complete control of his destiny with a no movement clause. According to further reports there is belief he would be willing to waive the no-movement clause for a reunion with one of his former teams.

As David Pagnotta continued to discuss the Nazem Kadri situation he dove into potential landing spots for the Flames star. His sources have indicated that Nazem Kadri would be willing to return to the Colorado Avalanche and pursuing a Stanley Cup.

My understanding with respect to (Kadri) is that he's willing to waive (the no-move clause) for the right situation. I think he would welcome a return to Colorado.

The Colorado Avalanche are in need of a third-line center to go behind Nathan MacKinnon and Casey Mittelstadt. If Nazem Kadri is indeed excited about an opportunity to come back to the Avalanche they need to explore it.

As of now, these are all reports and rumors but things like this have a tendency to move quickly once they are made public. Continue checking in on this as the situation develops to see if Nazem Kadri does end up finding a new home.
