Kelly McCrimmon fires back at Jonathan Marchessault's claims of disrespect
Jonathan Marchessault sent shockwaves through the league when he signed a five year deal with the Nashville Predators, leaving the Vegas Golden Knights.
In response to the signing, where he opted to leave the team he won the Conn Smythe trophy and Stanley Cup with, as well as where he was one of just a few remaining 'Misfits', which were the players from their expansion draft in 2017, Jonathan Marchessault told the media that he did not believe the Vegas Golden Knights tried enough to keep him.
In an interview with SinBin Las Vegas however, Kelly McCrimmon refuted these claims, and said they were lies:
And they are letting him walk out the door after he continuously expressed a willingness and desire to stay.

This type of treatment to the epitome of a Golden Knight, and the most accomplished player in franchise history is not surprising considering the team's known recklessness with player moves. That doesn't make it hurt any less for Vegas fans, however.
