During the year, many trades are made with conditions attached, especially to the Stanley Cup, and now after Florida's victory, three trades have finalized.

Regardless of who won, Monday night was going to be a history making one for the NHL, but in the end, it was the Florida Panthers that came away 2-1 victors, winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Now, with the Stanley Cup Finals series complete, several trades that involved conditions on the Finals have officially been completed.

First up was the Panthers deal to get Kyle Okposo from the Buffalo Sabres, in a deal that netted him a major contract bonus after signing a new deal with Buffalo this past summer.

Draft condition update:

The 2024 7th round pick #TimeToHunt sent to #LetsGoBuffalo in the Kyle Okposo trade WILL upgrade to a 2024 5th round pick.

The second deal that was finalized for Florida was the move to get veteran Cup winner Vladimir Tarasenko, with the Senators now getting a third-round pick in 2026 as opposed to a fourth-round selection.

Draft condition update:

The 2024 4th round pick #TimeToHunt sent to #GoSensGo in the Vladimir Tarasenko trade WILL upgrade to a 2026 3rd round pick.

Finally was the lone deal with conditions for the Edmonton Oilers in a deal where the pick did not convey, with the Anaheim Ducks settling for a fifth-round pick in a deal centered around Adam Henrique.

Draft condition update:

The 2025 5th round pick #LetsGoOilers sent to #FlyTogether in the Adam Henrique trade will NOT upgrade to a 2025 4th round pick.

The trade deadline is full of risky deals for teams with Stanley Cup ambitions, and while only two of these deals came off, it's safe to say that both teams would be very happy in hindsight with the trades they made.
