The Toronto Maple Leafs are shaking things up this off-season, having already fired Sheldon Keefe and hired Craig Berube. Now they have fired Laurence Gilman.

In an announcement today, the Toronto Maple Leafs organization confirmed that the team has cut ties with front office executive Laurence Gilman.

Hearing that Laurence Gilman has parted ways with the Maple Leafs organization. Mutual decision. His deal expires this month. Veteran hockey executive now on the open market. Should draw interest.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Laurence Gilman have worked together for several years, but his role was changed in 2021 with the hiring of Ryan Hardy.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that Ryan Hardy is joining the organization as Senior Director of Minor League Operations. In his role, he will serve as General Manager of the Club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, as well as its ECHL affiliate, the Newfoundland Growlers. Hardy, 35, had served as General Manager of the United States Hockey League's Chicago Steel since the start of their 2018-19 season.

Hardy will oversee hockey operations for the Marlies and Growlers, including roster decisions and staffing. He will also work in unison with the Player Development department to track drafted prospects and participate in player personnel and scouting initiatives as needed.

Since 2021, Gilman has been the VP of the Toronto Marlies, and the Toronto Maple Leafs' governor.

He is expected to get significant interest from other teams this off-season.
