This past Friday, Brandon Dubinsky, who is still under contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets, caused quite the internet storm after he appeared on The Garage and Beers Podcast and took shots at Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.

«Everybody wants to talk about Sid and (Alex Ovechkin) or whatever,» Dubinsky said. «Dude, f--- Sid. I'll take Ovi every day of the week.»

Soon after his comment started blowing up, Dubinsky took to Twitter saying that while Crosby is much better than he ever was, he believes Ovi's goal total is what makes him better, while also saying that Ovi shut up and played hard while Sid whined too much.

Though it took a few days, Crosby was asked by media on Wednesday what he thought of the comment, and made it clear he had no interest in speaking on it.

«If you guys have any more hockey questions, I'd love to answer those,» he said.

Clearly, Crosby isn't too worried about the comments on Dubinsky, which likely stem from a well known history between the two, as they battled it out on many different occasions over the years. These comments are certainly interesting and somewhat surprising given that Dubinsky is still technically a Blue Jacket. However, he has been on long-term injured reserve for two seasons now, and will more than likely never suit up in the NHL again.
