The next Artemi Panarin may be signed by a Canadian team
A KHL player who just had a breakout season appears to be looking to come to North America, and one Canadian NHL team looks like it may be a perfect fit
Artemi Panarin was just about 25 years old before finally coming to North America from Russia to play in the NHL. He cemented his place as a superstar quickly. Now, it appears there may be another very similar situation happening in Russia, after a breakout season in the KHL.
At 25 years old, Maxim Tsyplakov had a career year with Moscow Spartak scoring 31 goals and 16 assists for 47 points in 65 games. He added another 2 goals and 2 assists in the KHL's postseason before Spartak was eliminated. Now we have word that Tsyplakov might be finally ready to take the next step in his career.
Tsyplakov's agent has told reporters that his client is getting dirty treatment from Spartak, and while Tsyplakov doesn't necessarily want to leave Russia, he will do what he has to do.
He said that if there is a worthy offer, then Maxim can stay in Russia. We have no desire to leave at any cost.

As pointed out by a few, the Montreal Canadiens would be a great fit for Tsyplakov, as he should be able to slot in with the younger team without much of an issue.
That said, if Tsyplakov is ready to make the jump, there are likely to be a few NHL teams interested in his services, especially if they believe his KHL skills will translate immediately to the NHL. Keep an eye on Maxim Tsyplakov over the offseason.
