Brandon Montour goes after Brad Marchand with hilarious gesture
Game 2 between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers was all-out chaos. In what would be a blowout win for the Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour decided to troll Bruins forward Brad Marchand with a gesture that Brad Marchand knows all too well.
Brandon Montour is not known as a physical or aggressive presence most of the time. He will not back down from a fight though and isn't afraid to use some trash talk to wage against his opponent. Last night during a scrum between the two teams Brandon Montour stuck his tongue out at Brad Marchand and made a licking-type motion.
This gesture by Brandon Montour is of course a callback to when Brad Marchand himself licked an opposing player from the Tampa Bay Lightning Ryan Callahan.
After seeing the video of Brandon Montour trolling Brad Marchand several fans caught on to the joke. This led to them taking to X and pointing out the hilarious throwback moment.
With at least 3 more games left in this series, things are going to get incredibly interesting from here. Some Stanley Cup Playoff series will go the whole time without major fireworks others come early and only intensify as the games go on. It seems that with the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, we are in the second group of outcomes and should all buckle up for what is to come.
